Crotalus pricei pricei

While most herpers prefer willardi, I would definitely rather see a twin spot.

My first twin-spot was found by accident and in probably the hardest range to see pricei in in Arizona - the Huachucas. I was climbing some rocky outcrops and almost put my hand on it while I reached up onto a rock above me to raise myself up. When I got to eye-level, I saw this little guy scurrying away just a couple of inches from my hand. Cochise County, AZ. August 2005
While heading up to a popular area to herp, Erik and I saw this little guy sunning on the dirt road on the way up to some talus in the Chiricahuas. Cochise County, AZ. May 2007.
A trek deep into the Santa Ritas yielded several pricei finds. This neonate that hasn't even had its first shed was seen out basking. Santa Cruz County, AZ. August 2008.
This beefy snake had quite the purple tint. Santa Cruz County, AZ. August 2008.
This snake completed my twinspot ranges in Arizona - Pinalenos. Graham County, AZ. July 2009.
Really neat pattern on this one. Graham County, AZ. July 2009.
