The rarest rattlesnake in the United States? Possibly. I've been fortunate enough to see a few of these guys over the years.
While herping with a large group including York, Derek, Chip and Matt, I dropped down the
hillside as the sun was making its appearance in the morning and was buzzed by this big old, scarred male. Hidalgo County, NM. August

The next year, we had just caught up with each other and separated to continue searching when York found
