Field Herping or just Herping is the act of searching for amphibians and reptiles out in nature. I spend a lot of time out in the field looking for herps. Here are some of the more memorable trips from the years.
Arizona/New Mexico 2008
Probably the most epic/lucky field herp trip I have been involved with. We basically found all our target species and then some on this trip in August of 2008.
Florida/Georgia 2009
My first trip to the east coast. A lot of firsts for me including eastern diamondbacks, corn snakes and a Burmese python.
Maryland/Pennsylvania/North Carolina 2012
Knocking two big Crotalids off the checklist... timbers and red pygmies.
